7v7 Grassroots Coaching Course
This course is a great opportunity for our new coaches, players’ parents looking for a deeper understanding of why good coaches do the things they do, U17+ players interested in learning to coach, and even our experienced coaches who wish to improve their craft.

The 7v7 In-Person Grassroots Course is a 4-hour course that builds on the principles covered in U.S. Soccer’s online Introduction to Grassroots Coaching Module.
Specifically, candidates will learn more about U.S. Soccer’s Grassroots Coaching Education Philosophy, Play-Practice-Play Methodology, the Six Tasks of a Coach, and the characteristics of players aged 9-10. The course will also ask each candidate to reflect on their experiences to develop action steps for personal growth.
DATE: February 26 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and February 27 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. CST
LOCATION: Hosted at the Auburn Soccer Complex.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: In order to register for the 7v7 In-Person Course, candidates must (1) be at least 16 years old and (2) have completed U.S. Soccer’s free online Introduction to Grassroots Coaching module (register here).
COST: $65 for ASA members. $75 for non-ASA members.
To encourage parent and coach education, the Auburn Soccer Association will reimburse current Auburn Soccer Association members upon successful completion of the course (see the online Reimbursement Request Form).
