7v7 Grassroots Coaching Course

This course is a great opportunity for our new coaches, players’ parents looking for a deeper understanding of why good coaches do the things they do, U17+ players interested in learning to coach, and even our experienced coaches who wish to improve their craft.

The 7v7 In-Person Grassroots Course is a 4-hour course that builds on the principles covered in U.S. Soccer’s online Introduction to Grassroots Coaching Module.

Specifically, candidates will learn more about U.S. Soccer’s Grassroots Coaching Education Philosophy, Play-Practice-Play Methodology, the Six Tasks of a Coach, and the characteristics of players aged 9-10. The course will also ask each candidate to reflect on their experiences to develop action steps for personal growth.
